200 plus pieces submitted for Student Art Show

Art students have a chance to display their work and even score scholarships by entering the Annual Student Art Show.

The deadline to enter your artwork is Tuesday, April 10, at 6 p.m. , in Building C. Students must pay an entry free of $2 per piece. You can enter up to three pieces.

The Art Department will judge the artwork, results will be announced at noon on April 16 in the lobby of Building C. Accepted students will be considered for two scholarships, one from the Orange County Fine Arts Association, and one in honor of the late SAC Art Department Chair, Gene Isaacson.

There will be an open reception Friday, May 4 in the Main Gallery. The Art Department faculty will present awards and people can view the accepted artwork.

Pieces that are accepted can be seen in the Main Art Gallery from May 7 to 18.
