Dinesh D’Souza’s 2016: Obama’s America is a pessimistic projection of President Obama’s second term.

D’Souza claims that Obama operates from his father’s anti-colonial beliefs. The filmmaker also recycles old tactics of Obama’s guilt-by-association with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Weather Underground bomber Bill Ayers and other “scary” leftists.

Despite partisan divide America has given the film a strong reception, earning $67 million so far — making it the second highest grossing documentary behind the $119 million from Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11.
