Help The Cactus Wren
People now have the opportunity to create a healthy habitat for the cactus wren, a threatened bird species. Planting native plants can provide a home for the bird to live and thrive. The event takes place on a hillside along Mule Deer Trail, so proper shoes and clothing should be worn. The event is free and registration is recommended.
WHEN: Friday, May 20, 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
WHERE: Quail Hill Trail Head, 34 Shady Canyon Trail, Irvine
COST: This program is free with pre-required registration

Common Kings
The four musicians will be performing their latest pop, reggae and R&B songs. The group is  from the Hawaiian Islands, Fiji Island and Tonga Island.They recently released their latest EP Hits & Mrs October 2015 which features “Since I Woke Up” and “Before You Go”. All of their songs have an irresistible upbeat tempo. Tickets can be found on ticketmaster.com.

Zentathon 5k Walk or Run
The 6th Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders 5k Run/Walk Fundraiser is taking place this weekend. People will be able to get more information about Parkinson’s Disease and ways to fight the disease at the event. There will be prizes for the first, second and third place participants. Lunch and a raffle will be provided. Register as soon as possible at http://www.pmdf.org/events.php.

Balance and Brew
Join Hop Mistress Society + Khilana Yoga for a one hour yoga class and craft beer. Hop Mistress Society is an exclusive group of female brewers who love and  want to produce beer. Khilana Yoga is a local yoga studio out of Anaheim that practices Asana yoga. Asana yoga is where you sit in a firm but relaxed position. This is a fun way to get some meditation and exercise done while tasting different craft beers. Bring your own yoga mat to the event.
