Swans’ latest release is a punch in the gut. To Be Kind is an experimental album that never relents its drone assault.

Guitars scrape and weave between lead singer Michael Gira’s howling vocals. The breakbeat-style drums compliment ominous basslines, leaving a feeling of doom throughout. Bring the Sun is a 30-minute track of pure noise. The epic two-hour record requires full attention and isn’t for casual listening.
