Cream of the Crop

The film about labor leader Cesar E. Chavez depicts the struggles and victories of the civil rights advocate while he was a community organizer, focusing on his life between the years 1965-70.

With a non-violent movement, Chavez (Michael Pena) led the United Farm Workers in marches, strikes and national boycotts against the major produce companies.

They demanded higher wages, fought for civil rights and the power to unionize.
