Cream of the Crop

By Rogelio Santana

The film about labor leader Cesar E. Chavez depicts the struggles and victories of the civil rights advocate while he was a community organizer, focusing on his life between the years 1965-70.

With a non-violent movement, Chavez (Michael Pena) led the United Farm Workers in marches, strikes and national boycotts against the major produce companies.
