Danish director Lars Von Trier continues to afflict the comfortable with his latest proto-porn opus Nymphomaniac.

An older man (Stellan Skarsgard) finds Joe (Charlotte Gainsburg) in a dark alley, battered and bruised. He takes her in, and over cups of tea, hears her tales of sexual excess. It’s sadistic, gross and makes euro art porn look like an episode of Sesame Street.
