California Pizza Kitchen’s Crispy Mac N’ Cheese adds a new flare on an American classic. It didn’t look like mac n’ cheese when the server put the plate on the table. But the first bite tasted scrumptious, exactly what I was expecting. On the plate, the mac n’ cheese looks like a serving of chicken nuggets. Don’t be alarmed. It is rotini pasta soaked in cheese, then lightly fried to golden perfection with panko breadcrumbs. A plate of four of the bite size delights costs $3.75.
