HOTLINE: Uneven blend

ALBUM: Love This Giant.
GROUP: David Byrne & St. Vincent.

A duet album by Talking Heads front man David Byrne and St. Vincent may seem like a match made in heaven, but Love This Giant sounds more like a St. Vincent project produced by David Byrne. The tracks don’t offer much leeway between artists, showcasing one at a time instead of letting them both shine. This odd tug of war at least shows that David Byrne’s style is still great, same as it ever was.
