The Yost Theater recently announced through its Facebook page that in honor of reaching 10,000 fans it will have a customer appreciation show on April 29.

Anticipation has been building since Feb. 28, when the Yost Theater posted, “We are quickly approaching 10,000 Facebook Likes! As soon as we hit the magic number we will announce a big show coupled with a major fan appreciation giveaway.”

The Yost Theater was established in 1912 as The Auditorium.

It began as a vaudeville venue and became a movie theater that hosted legends of Spanish-language cinema, including the legendry El rey de la cancion ranchera Vicente Fernandez (La Ley del Monte), during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema.

It then became a church and is now an entertainment venue again.

The appreciation show will feature DJ Hardwell on stage. Dutch-born Hardwell is an electronic dance music artist and has played at some of the biggest music festivals, including Electric Zoo in New York, Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Beyond Wonderland in San Bernardino.

You still have a chance to score tickets to the show, but you’ve got to pay for it. Ticket prices start at $20. While most shows are 21 and over, anyone 18 and older will be admitted for the appreciation show.
