College closer to $1 million target

CAMPUS: Scholarship.

The SAC Foundation Board is kicking off a Centennial Scholarship Campaign, with the goal of creating 100 new scholarships to last for the next 100 years.

The program will begin in the summer and run through 2016.

The foundation pledges to match donations greater than $25,000 and has already received a $200,000 gift from 1940 graduate Allan Fainbarg and his wife Sandy. The donation covers a good portion of the target of $1 million, Foundation Director Christina Romero said.
