District makes A pitch for new tax

CAMPUS:

Two faculty members took vacation time to promote an initiative officials say is vital to the financial health of the college.

Voters can choose to pay an additional $1 a week in property taxes to upgrade Santa Ana College’s facilities.

Vice President of Student Services Sara Lundquist and Jim Kennedy, co-chair of the planning and budget committee, started their tour speaking with student leaders Monday.

“Some facilities on campus are great, but there are others that can be better,” Lundquist said.
