Santa Ana College Short Film Premier 

Enjoy Santa Ana College’s first short films debut written, produced, directed and acted by students in the Theater Arts Motion Picture performance class. The class is taught by theater arts professor Christopher Glenn Cannon. The Theater Arts Motion Picture performance class began fall 2015. The four short films are: Jesse’s All right, Boy and Girl, Mortals and Boogey.
WHEN: Friday, May 27, 7:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
WHERE: The Frida Cinema,  305-100 E. 4th Street, Santa Ana
COST: $5-$10

LIT
Lit is back from their Europe tour after two years. The group originated from Fullerton with an alternative rock sound in the 90s. Their most popular song “My Own Worst Enemy” which released in 1999 is still played today. This will be the band’s preview of their anticipated Summer Land Tour that starts this July. Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com.
WHEN: Friday, May 27, 7:30 p.m.- 11:00 p.m.

COST: $27-$55

Scottish Fest
Participate in the 84th annual Scottish Festival where there will be a parade, drummers and bagpipers. There will be Scottish and Irish food vendors and appearances by athletes from Scotland. There will also a be a live band playing throughout the day. Learning about the Scottish culture is a fun way to spend Memorial Day.
WHEN: Saturday , May 28 – Sunday, May 29, 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa
COST: $3-$22

Kottonmouth Kings
Celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the band Kottonmouth Kings. The band is known for their reggae/rap songs. The group is from Placentia, Orange County and they released their latest Album Krown Power August 2015. The concert is free but it is 21 and older and dress to impress. There will be beer tasting, photos with the band and an after party. The event is free but it is encouraged to RSVP.
WHEN: Saturday, May 28, 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
WHERE: Yost Theater, 307 North Spurgeon Street, Santa Ana
COST: Free with RSVP
