The drama Castle returns to ABC for a seventh season, with the premier promising to be an eventful episode.

Last season’s finale ended with Kate Beckett discovering the flaming wreck of her fiancé Richard Castle’s car after he was run off the road by a mystery driver. Now she must find Castle, along with whoever assaulted and kidnapped him. The next season will expose implications of the crash, the recurring serial killer 3XK and a new villain or organization behind Castle’s assault.

The show’s premier is Sept. 29 at 10 p.m.
