The Dons finished non-conference play by defeating the visiting Pasadena City College Lancers, 3-1 on Sept. 18.

“We came out strong,” Dons Head Coach Jose Vasquez said. Midfielder Jose Angulo’s goal in the 16th minute off an assist from freshman midfielder Ivan Bastida opened the attack.

The teams remained tied after halftime, 1-1, until forward Luis Venegas netted a goal off an assist from Angulo in the 67th minute.

The Dons open conference play at home on Tuesday against the Cypress College Chargers at 3 p.m.
