Santa Ana College’s men’s water polo team fell to Fullerton College in a crushing defeat of 21-10 on Wednesday Oct. 25, making it their 13th consecutive loss.
The Dons freshman attacker Eli Lew led the team with seven goals.
“The hardest part is that it’s a combination of swimming and wrestling. You have to keep up the endurance,” Lew said.
Freshman attacker Alex Delgleize made a goal in the first minute, Lew followed up with two more. The Hornets made 10 goals in the first half.
In the second half, Lew scored five goals accompanied by one goal each from Jack Capifoni and Tony Anwar.
“This game marked a turning point,” water polo coach, Al Reyes said.
Fullerton College bombarded SAC with 11 more scores, finishing off the game.
