The National Security Agency is in the news for accusations of invasion of privacy, but we’ve been doing that for years through social media.
We need to be wary of what we post online, and think twice before sharing intimate information for billions to see. Companies like Facebook track every click and keystroke a user makes then uses the information to send personalized spam to the user’s inbox.
There is no easy way to opt out of personal data being tracked on the Web. Until it changes we need to be cautious of what we voluntarily give up more than the NSA’s data mining.
