Quality declines while prices rise

Ever played a $60 four-hour video game?

Things have gone too far: The hyper-expensive development costs mean every supposed success comes at too high a price. Even titles that sell millions can be considered a failure because they cost too much to make, and most imitate each other.

Creative, inexpensive indie games are already taking over, taking risks and asking little money in return. When we slough off the shackles of big business, we can get back to having fun.
