The Dons lost its second home conference game to the Cypress College Chargers 3-0 Tuesday.

“We struggled but took some chances and made the game easier than it was,” Chargers Head Coach Erick Hurtarte said.

The Chargers scored first when forward Jade Perez netted a rebound shot in the 16th minute from midfielder Layla Silva. Cypress midfielders Laura Najera scored the second goal and Silva added a third.

As a team Santa Ana College had only four shots on goal despite controlling the ball for most of the game.

“The ladies played more together than before. Now we just need the goals to happen,” SAC Head Coach Jaymie Baquero said.

The Dons next play Sept. 26 at Irvine Valley College at 3 p.m.
