Runner-Up Finish at Season Opener

Led by perfect performances from Juan Jaime, 133-lbs., and Juan Hernandez, 197-lbs., the Dons won the Consolation Championship at the Mt. San Antonio College Duel Tournament Sept. 21.

Santa Ana College worked Bakersfield College, 36-6, in the opening match.

But SAC peaked too soon. Cerritos College sent the Dons to the runner-up pool, 23-15 in the next match.

The Dons finished with back-to-back match wins, trouncing Sierra College 44-12 before defeating tournament host Mt. SAC 24-18 in the consolation finals. —Daniel Lim
