Any student that pays the $19 health fee at the beginning of the school year has full access to the Health and Wellness Center, which offers health and psychological care through a number of services.
“The health center is a convenient place for students to seek out basic medical care for less money,” Christiana Duong, health educator said.
Low cost services provided include illness consultations, immunizations and blood work.
Tests for tuberculosis, pregnancy or urinalysis range from about five to $10.
Psychological wellness resources are available, with mental health professionals providing counseling workshops, crisis assistance and counseling appointments.
The Health and Wellness Center is located in U-120 and opens at 9 a.m., closing at 6 p.m. on Monday, 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and at noon on Friday.
