The Dons opened conference play Sept. 20 drawing a 1-1 tie against the visiting Norco Mustangs.

Following a scoreless first half, the Mustangs scored first with a breakaway goal from freshman forward Carli Balderrama in the 58th minute.

The Dons played about 26 minutes of deflated ball until sophomore forward Kristina Alatorre scored the equalizer off an assist from sophomore defender Britanny Guerra.

“The game showed improvements on our part. We played better than last game against Golden West and we will try to improve for our next game,” Head Coach Jessica Rapoza said.
