Dons make it to postseason play

SOFTBALL:

A 12-win April helped the Dons reach the postseason for the first time since 2006.

The Dons are the fifth Orange Empire Conference team selected for regional play, seeding them seventh in the first round of the southern California Regionals.

Three Dons were selected to the All-OEC teams. Infielder Hannah Dowling made first team and pitchers Shelly Tait and Monica Sepulveda received second team honors.

The Dons face visiting, No.10 seed Santa Barbara City College in a best-of-three first round series.
