Kindercaminata seeks volunteers

By Katie Porter

KinderCaminata, a program introducing kindergartners to college, is seeking volunteers for its 21st annual event March 7.

Every year about a thousand children from Santa Ana elementary schools come to campus to get early career advice on jobs such as nursing, teaching and fire fighting.

Associated Student Government is looking for about 175 people to help run booths, lead tours and entertain the children in various college mascot costumes. At the end of the event there will be a march from the fountain to the track, with participants chanting “Si se puede!”

Those interested in volunteering can find applications and more information at the Office of Student Life in U-121A.
