Global Festival Brings Different Cultures to the Community

More than 100 performances from cultures across the world will be showcased Saturday at the Irvine Global Village Festival.

Representatives from Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South America are performing musical, dance and other cultural demonstrations.

Sample-sized food including Mexican-fusion tacos, boba drinks, Hawaiian shave ice and North African BBQ will be available for one to three food tickets. Tickets range from $1 to $10. Tickets are non-refundable.

There will be games and activities for children, bounce houses and Games2U human hamster balls at the Kids Village.

Find the festival in Bill Barber Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission and parking is free.
