The International Student Center added three new counselors this semester, which now offers walk-in hours four days a week. Counselors will be available for students who have questions about immigration status and classes.

With walk-in hours, students no longer need to make an appointment to see a counselor.

Previously, international students had access to one counselor, who served about 500 students a semester. That created a backlog, forcing students to wait weeks before seeing a counselor.

Instead of waiting for an appointment, the walk-in sessions save time for students who need help immediately.

With the arrival of the new counselors many students feel relieved that they will not be waiting long to have their study plans.

International student counselors will be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during school hours.
