The high cost in fixing your broken bike could easily be resolved at a free meeting of the Bicycle Tree.
The Bicycle Tree, a nonprofit group of volunteers, help bike riders through a hands-on learning process.
They provide a variety of tools for such problems as adjusting wheel pressure, brakes and installing bike accessories. The experienced volunteers aim to teach you the basics of your bike, saving you from paying the sometimes high priced service at a bike shop.
The Bike Tree meets at the Old Towne Orange Farmers and Artisans Market on the first Saturdays of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. In Santa Ana they meet in front of the Yost Theater on the last Saturdays of every month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations are accepted but not mandatory, so come and get ready to revive your horse on wheels!
