CALIFORNIA:
Community college students and supporters held hands across California on Sunday, April 17, including at the corner of Bristol and17th, in an effort to bring awareness of budget cuts and raise funds for community college students.
Hands Across California was a statewide effort to advocate for continued access to California Community Colleges at a time when the mission of our institutions is threatened by budget cuts,” said Sara Lundquist, vice president of student services at Santa Ana College.
Many celebrities are supporting this statewide effort, including Ryan Seacrest, George Lopez and MC Hammer.
