The SAC Dons men’s soccer team lost their first home game of the season 2-0 against College of the Desert Roadrunners.

In the first 10 minutes of the game, the Dons had two clear shots on goal but couldn’t convert. In the 20 minute, COD scored the first goal of the game when sophomore forward Alejandro Pimentel broke through the defense and converted on a shot that was partially blocked by SAC sophomore goalkeeper Frank Aguilar.

SAC started the second half down 1-0, but kept the offensive pressure on the Roadrunners. But just six minutes into the half, Santa Ana committed a foul inside the box which gave Desert a penalty kick that was converted by sophomore midfielder Lucas Rosales. Down 2-0 the Dons had shots on goal but were struggling to put the ball in the net.

The Dons are 6-3 overall and will stay at home. They look to get back on track as they attempt to get their first conference win of the season when they host the Fullerton College Hornets on Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
