E-Cigs Banned on Campus Grounds

The College Council banned e-cigs on campus in December. Vaping is now allowed only in the parking lots.

While they don’t contain smoke or tobacco, the cartridges vaporize nicotine into clouds of water vapor. There is little research about their health effects on users and bystanders.

“You’re inhaling something that you don’t really know what it is. That’s scary,” said Rebecca Barnard, coordinator of the Health and Wellness Center.
