Director Phillip Rodriguez will screen the PBS documentary Ruben Salazar: Man in the Middle on Thursday at Phillips Hall Theatre.
“He was a Santa Ana resident and has a connection from a historical standpoint,” College President Erlinda Martinez said.
Salazar was a journalist who chronicled the Chicano rights movement in the ‘60s. His death, ruled accidental at the hands of law enforcement is still shrouded in mystery.
The screening starts at 6:30 p.m.

I read the small portion of “Freedom Doc” of Ruben Salazar of elDon newspaper today Thursday, April 03, 2014, but it does include a DATE! It only says Thursday at 6:30pm at Phillips Hall. I don’t have a clue on which Thursday of the month is going to be on. I read it twice just to make sure I didn’t miss the date, I went the official elDon website (eldonnews.org) and still didn’t found a precise date! My complain or suggestion is that I would like to see dates on the events, the newspaper or on the website, that are happening on and/or off SAC campus.

Thank you for your comment. The Ruben Salazar documentary is being screened Thursday, April 3. The latest issue of el Don was released April 1, so any events mentioned in that paper taking place within seven days of the publication are not specified with a date, only the day of the week.
