Five Dons were named to the All-Academic All-State Football Team, the most in the college’s history.

The award recognizes the academic achievements of student athletes while representing their college.

Tyler Cordell, who was named Male Scholar Athlete of the Year, led the group with a 4.0 GPA, followed by Nate Cox, Woody Quinn, Reece Buckles and Ian Millar.

Four of the five will receive academic scholarships to four-year universities. Millar returns as a sophomore this season.
