New field opening with next season

SOCCER:

As part of the Santa Ana College unification project, the men’s and women’s soccer teams will begin the 2013 fall season in a new soccer complex.

The facility features a synthetic turf field, permanently covered benches, for the home and visiting teams, a press box, a surround sound system and snack bar.

The first game is tenatively scheduled for Aug. 27.

The old soccer field is going to be leveled to create space for planned student parking.
