Tyga Roars on Racks

Young Money’s Tyga has stepped out of his cage and showed his stripes on his recently released sophomore album, Careless World: Rise of The Last King.

The album is collab-heavy, which is a good and a bad thing.  While it is always a good thing to have people like Pharrell, Nas, and Lil Wayne on your album, it would’ve been nice to see him really show his talent especially on his sophomore album.  Tracks like “King & Queens” and “Lil Homie” show that he can keep up with the best of them.

He set the pace for the album by saying- “I awoke from a dream, filled in a world full of greed and hate.  The world was my thoughts and surroundings.  I realized I needed to rise, and become king of my own destiny.”

The production for the album is amazing.  The versatile production has churned out love songs, trunk rattlers and club hits.  “Love Game” and “Far Away” are about him reminiscing about his lost love, while “Rack City” and “Faded” are his ways of having a good time.

While some people might say that artists like Nicki Minaj or Drake are the future of Lil Wayne’s super-group Young Money, this album gives Lil Wayne and fans reason to believe that Tyga could be the next best thing.

Look for the talented 22 year-old to perform here in Santa Ana on March 28th at The Observatory, which is located at 3503 S. Harbor Blvd. in Santa Ana.
