After missing several scoring opportunities and suffering from poor calls by game officials, the Dons lost Tuesday to the visiting Mira Costa Spartans 1-0.

“There were several calls that the officials missed, for our side and theirs, which really slowed the pace and rhythm of the game,” Mira Costa Head Coach Miguel Barragan said.

Mira Costa Forward Makaela Thompson scored the only goal on an assist from Midfielder Sandra Davis.

The Dons visit the Golden West Rustlers Tuesday at 3 p.m. to begin their conference matches.
