Applications for the Student Leadership Institute, a student seminar hosted by Santa Ana College and California State University Fullerton, are due tomorrow.

The annual leadership convention will take place March 18 and 19. Over the two days, students will attend nine different seminars covering topics such as communication skills, public speaking and creating networks.

Applicants have to be current SAC students, must be able to attend both days from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., participate in activities, exhibit professional behavior and complete all of the workshops.

Students must also dress in formal business attire, be on time, and be able to attend the awards ceremony on April 26 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at CSUF where they will be recognized and receive their certificates.

“Leadership development is great for any career. There’s no career I can think of that wouldn’t like a potential candidate that has some form of leadership on their resume, this is a great intensive way to be a part of a certificated leadership program in two days and a banquet,” Student Services Coordinator Daniel Marquez said.

Upon completing the two days of workshops, students will have gained knowledge on leaderships skills and communicate effectively. They will learn how to network and have successful interactions with various different people.

Students can pick up applications at the Student Outreach office S-213 or can be submitted online at sac.edu/sli
