luis Correa wins trustee election

DISTRICT:

For Luis Correa, politics runs in the family.

Correa, the son of State Sen. Lou Correa from the 34th District, was named student trustee for 2013-2014 on April 30.

“I wanted to get involved however I could, and I wanted to leave the colleges I am representing a little bit better than when I came,” Correa said.

The student trustee oversees operations in the Rancho Santiago Community College District along with seven other elected officials.

Correa will be sworn in June 17.
