Don’t miss out on Santa Ana’s third garage sale weekend of the year Sept. 1 and Sept. 2.

Located around East Bishop and Pine Streets, this nearly 12-block event is filled with vintage items and like new wardrobe pieces sold at reasonable prices. You can also enjoy a weekend brunch special made fresh by the many emerging home cooks. They will be selling steaming pupusas, tamales, tacos, and bacon-wrapped hot dogs. The sales run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and only accept cash.

HELP WANTED

Before going to your next job interview, set an appointment with SAC’s Career Center in room L-225.

Résumé and interview technique classes are offered, as well as plenty of job listings in child care, tutoring, accounting, healthcare, and other fields. Listings are updated monthly.

Figure out which majors are linked to the careers you have always been curious about. Also, ask about the Service Learning Center, in U-204-B where you can gain real-life experience in various types of work.

Get a head start on this year’s presidential elections before the Oct. 22 registration deadline. Apply on Sept. 13 during Voter Registration and Constitution Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SAC fountain.
