Mother nature invites us all to learn a thing or two on how to conserve our planet.

In an effort to promote recycling, reuse and composting, non-profit organizations and SAC students will attend “Party for the Planet” on April 14 at the Santa Ana Zoo. Those who want to learn about treating the planet may attend the event that runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with price of admission, at $8 and $5 for kids.

“The children will have fun playing with worms and learning about the Earth,” said Wendy Cundiff, professor of anthropology at Santa Ana College.

With the help of the Social Science club on campus, the event will showcase hands-on demonstrations and educational tutorials.

“Preserving the planet is very important and we need to spread awareness,” said Social Science club member and ASG Senator Andrew Kelly.

35 students have already signed up for “Party for the Planet” which is a way to celebrate Earth Day on which lands on April 22.
