Thursday is the new Friday for college students, but finding worthwhile events in and around Orange County isn’t always easy. So leave it to us.

Every week, we’ll comb through local and regional event calendars and drop suggestions for what to do here  just in time for the weekend:

St. Patrick’s Day Family Dinners To Go
For the first time Zov’s Bistro will be offering St. Patrick’s Day family take out. The meal includes slow cooked Irish corn beef with creamed horseradish sauce, thyme-scented carrots and soda bread that will serve a total of four people. Zov’s Bistro in Tustin opened in 1987 and usually serves cuisine that has a mix of Eastern Mediterranean influences. This is a great opportunity to try a classic St. Patty’s day meal.
WHEN: Thursday, March 17, 11 a.m.- 9 p.m.
WHERE: 17440 E. 17th St., Tustin
COST: $50

Robert Bissell Art Show
Robert Bissell comes to Lahaina Galleries in Newport Beach. His exhibit will feature new pieces in different varieties. Robert Bissell is an imaginary realist whose art focuses on nature and animals. He may also discuss his new book Hero at the meet-n-greet.
WHEN: Friday March 18, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 19, 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
WHERE: Lahaina Galleries, 1173 Newport Center Dr., Newport Beach
COST: Free

One Hour Aerial Combo Class
SwingIt Trapeze will be hosting an aerial class that will consist of yoga-like moves in an aerial hammock. The aerial skills are taught by using long hanging pieces of silk fabric. This is a fun new thing to try as well as a great workout. It works your arms, your abs and your core.
WHEN: Saturday, March 19, 12 p.m.
WHERE: 350 W Center St Promenade, Anaheim
COST: $25-60

Proceeds from the race will benefit the nonprofit group Trails4All, which is dedicated to preserving trails in Southern California.
WHEN: Saturday, March 19, 7 a.m.
WHERE: 30892 Trabuco Canyon Road, Trabuco Canyon
