Dons win with forward play

WOMEN SOCCER:

The women’s soccer team finally strung together back-to-back home wins after a horrid start.

The Dons beat Irvine Valley College 4-1 Oct. 5. Forward Xochitl Sandoval scored the dagger in the 90th minute to seal the win. Forward Zulema Chavez scored the deciding goal against the visiting Golden West Rustlers Oct. 12, putting the Dons up 2-1 as the players gel with a new coaching staff.

Sandoval and Forward Kristina Alatorre led the team with four goals apiece through 15 games.
