Irony for Irony’s Sake Misses Mark

The Chipotle web-series Farmed and Dangerous satirizes food corporations and praises family farms. The production is ironic, however.

Chipotle is a subsidiary of the McDonald’s Corp. While Chipotle may practice free-ranged farming, McDonald’s completely disregards this method and uses factory farms and processes all of its food.

Farmed and Dangerous may have some self-awareness, but not enough to entirely cover up the corporation’s hypocrisy
