To prevent fatalities and injuries, the U.S. Department of Transportation is requiring vehicles built after 2018 to have rear-view cameras.
“Rear visibility requirements will save lives,” said Acting Administrator David Friedman.
Display screens must show a field of view of a 10-foot by 20-foot area.
