Perks lives in infamy

The novel turned film is a refreshingly honest slice of life.

Perks of Being a Wallflower is a movie that lives up to its literary reputation. The coming of age story stars quirky yet awkward characters who are relatable.

Without missing a beat, the translation from the pages to the screen is seamless.

The film gave an understanding of the struggles teens routinely go through. The simple lightheartedness makes it a must watch.

“It definitely spoke to us as a generation and sort of became an anthem for freedom and love” reader Amanda Haines said.

But before you see the movie, do yourself a favor and read the book.
