Former baseball coach Don Sneddon will be inducted into the California Community College Baseball Coach Association Athletic Hall of Fame on May 22 at the Final Four Banquet in Fresno.

Sneddon coached the Dons for 32 years, winning 16 Orange Empire Conference championships and three state titles. Sneddon set a new state record for career wins with No. 832, passing Sacramento City College’s Jerry Weinstein in 2006.

He retired with 1,072 victories, the most in California community college history.

More than 100 of Sneddon’s former players signed professional contracts and at least 200 received scholarships to four-year universities.

Sneddon was hired to manage the Modesto Nuts in January 2014, the Class A Advanced affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The position was Sneddon’s first professional managerial opportunity.
