Dons First Game Ends in Stalemate

The Dons men’s soccer team tied 1-1 in the season opener against El Camino College Warriors Monday when both teams failed to score a goal after 59 minutes.

Warriors’ midfielder Brayan Surio tied the game in the 59th minute off a pass from midfielder Victor Guerrero.

Dons forward Jorge Muratalla opened up the game with a goal in the 42nd minute off a cross from forward Carlos Martinez.

“I’m not happy, but not upset. It’s the start of something good,”  Head Coach Jose Vasquez said.

The next home game is this Friday vs Oxnard at 4:00 p.m.
