Savor Santa Ana

On Thursday, October 16 from 5:30 to 9 pm, Downtown Inc. will be hosting the first Savor Santa Ana event at the Spurgeon Promenade, between Third and Fourth streets.

Booklets are available for $10, filled with 12 tickets and a map with a walking route of popular spots throughout Downtown Santa Ana. There are stops along the way where tickets may be exchanged for food tastings from local eateries, as well as art pieces and trinkets from local artists.

With over a dozen restaurants participating, there is sure to be something to please any palate. A large variety of cuisines will be represented, such as French samples from Little Sparrow, while The Playground offers up American small plates.

Ryan Smolar, Consultant to Downtown Inc. explained that while this is the first Savor Santa Ana, there are plans for more events like it in the future. The community affair gives customers, restaurant owners and chefs an opportunity to mingle.

“The purpose of the event is to give everyone a chance to try all the restaurants and explore the independent shops downtown,” Smolar said.

Proceeds from Savor Santa Ana will go toward funding future events and supporting connections between for customers and restaurants to connect.

Come early to check out the Farmers Market, which takes place in the Spurgeon Promenade from 4-8 pm.
