Coke Commerical Shows Diversity

By: Aaron Vasquez

Coca-Cola’s Super Bowl ad brought up unnecessary controversy about the diversity of America. Many posted on Twitter complaining about how America the Beautiful was sung in more than eight languages.

“Couldn’t make out the song they were singing. I only speak English” conservative columnist Todd Starnes tweeted. But Coke did nothing wrong. The U.S. does not have an official language — the commercial reflects that.

Criticism directed towards the advertisement shows how far the country still has to go in accepting the diverse cultures in the United States.
