Dredd is set in a post-apocalyptic U.S. that has become an overcrowded, drug and crime-infested civilization. Judges enforce the law, like Dredd (Karl Urban) and his humanistic rookie partner Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), who is gifted with psychic powers. This action-thriller satisfies a wide audience combining aspects of 28 Days Later, Robocop, and X-Men. A good storyline and violent justice will leave you hoping for a sequel.
