Freshman catcher Frankie Nogales smoked a first inning, two-run double in the Dons’ 11-3 win over the visiting Fullerton College Hornets Tuesday.

“It comes down to keeping the momentum, not giving away at bats to the other team,” Head Coach Bryan Harris said.

Nogales had a pair of hits, with two RBIs while scoring a run.

Dons sophomore starter Tyler Sloan hurled six innings of one-run ball, striking out and walking three batters.

“We got to give the guy on the mound credit. He did a good job of keeping us off base,” Hornets Head Coach Nick Fuscardo said.
