Name that street!

A construction sign at the intersection reading "BRISTAL 17TH ST"

In an attempt to notify Santa Ana citizens and students of further traffic delays at Bristol and 17th Street intersection, the only thing the city does is confuse the public and leave them wondering if their spelling is the only thing under construction.

The $225 million Bristol Street Widening Project, set for completion in Spring 2012, paves the way for less street congestion and smoother rides to and from your destination.

Recent construction signs show that the misspelling of our well-known street, Bristol, now has a new spelling. It’s Bristal, with an “A”. If only electronic street signs came with spell check.
